Area departments respond to large hay and grass fire

Fire departments from several area communities responded to a large hay bale and grass fire west of Isabel at the Gebhart Ranch near Glad Valley last Wednesday, April 12, which destroyed 300 large round bales and burned 200 acres of grassland.

Construction progressing on new county highway shop

With a tentative fall completion date in mind, contractors building the new Dewey County Highway Shop have made progress over the winter. Sub-contractor While Construction of Mobridge was wrapping up their portion of the project this week as they did the sheet-rocking and painting.

Dupree Choir rates Superior

The Dupree High School JH/HS Choir, under the direction of instructor Rex Laughlin, once again brought home a superior rating from the Region XI Music Contest. On Wednesday, April 12, the choir went to Mobridge to compete, with Cheral Dekle as their accompanist.

Chuck and Marsha Aberle went to Bismarck on Friday. On the way home, they stopped in Mandan to see Jamie, Corina, Briston, and Breckon Friez. Then they went to Spearfish on Tuesday and visited Johnathan, Terry, Micheal, Jordan, and Ella Aberle.
