Large turnout for 2023 Lake Isabel Fishing Derby

Ruger Hulm and Mason Kraft won the Northern Pike and panfish divisions for youth at the 9th annual Lake Isabel Fishing Tournament held Saturday, Feb. 11, while the teams of Tyler and Steve Zubrod and Eric and Cassandra Tobin won the adult divisions.
Anglers turned out and the weather cooperated for both the 9th annual Lake Isabel Ice Fishing Derby held Feb. 11 and the 4th annual Little Moreau Ice Fishing Tournament held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Little Moreau Park south of Timber Lake. At right are the winners from Isabel and below are the participants from Little Moreau. A lot of nice fish and a couple of genuine lunkers were caught during both events. Fish cooperate for annual Little Moreau Ice Fishing Tournament

Temperatures in the mid-40s and only a slight breeze greeted anglers to the fourth annual Little Moreau Ice Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Little Moreau Park south of Timber Lake.

Many people in Trail City are preparing for the expected heavy snow fall this week. Bianca Ochsner spent the weekend with Esther Hahne. On Saturday, Chuck and Marsha Aberle were in Spearfish to visit and celebrate Michael Aberle's 13th birthday.

$200 Club drawing

The Sacred Heart Parish in Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings, Sunday, Feb. 19 at the church hall following Holy Mass and brunch. Winners were: $50 - John Lemke of Lantry and Virginia Hertel of Dupree; $25 - Fr.
