Long named to BHSU dean’s list Lorenda Long, a 2019 graduate of Timber Lake High School, has been named to the Spring 2022 semester dean’s list at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Lorenda is the daugher of Chip and Rita Long of rural Timber Lake.

A team of four young adults from the Diocese of Rapid City spent the week of June 19 - 23 at St. Joseph’s Center in Timber Lake sharing their energy, youthfulness and witness of the faith with 35 elementary children and 18 middle- and high-school youth. The elementary students met from 9:00 a.m.

Dupree Alumni gather at Pioneer Days Celebration

Dupree graduates gathered to catch up on their lives and share memories during the annual Dupree School Alumni program last weekend during Pioneer Days. With Maurice Lemke as the emcee, those classes ending in 2 were honored and asked to come forward and share how they’re doing.

Timber Lake Topic June 19, 1952 Curb and gutter construction started Construction of curbs and gutters on Main Street in Timber Lake began Monday. The Harry Kellogg Construction Company of Brookings was awarded the contract to furnish the materials and labor.
