Instead of a photo of herself, a committed “no picture of me” person, Emily Gill provided a photo of Stella, a milk cow who gives her some quiet time away from the daily hubbub at the ranch. Emily says, “She’s photogenic sporting my hate of net wrap.”
Martin Biegler initiated a project to install all new LED lighting in the gallery and gift shop at the Timber Lake Museum. He organized the project and did the fundraising.
The new $2.2 million Dakota Plains Cooperative convenience store and office building is going up just south of the current c-store/offices in McLaughlin. Once the company has transferred to its new space early this summer, the old store will be demolished. The cooperative was founded in 1945 and the current store/ offices was built in 1950.
