Three earn superiors

Three Dupree High School students, under the direction of instructor Rex Laughlin and accompanied by Cheral Dekle, competed in the Region 6 Solo/Ensemble Contest. All three of the students earned Superior ratings on their solos. They are (L-R): Charly Etzkorn, Cameron Dekle, and Erin Lemke.

Neal Pinnow of Lemmon announced February 9 that he will seek the Republican nomination for the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 28B. District 28B encompasses all of Butte and Harding counties and the northern one-third of Perkins County.

Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale February 7 8:21 a.m., received a report of horses on Highway 12 by the Grand River Casino. 10:44 a.m., assisted the McIntosh Ambulance at a residence in McIntosh. 3:18 p.m., arrested a 38-yearold male from Trail City for a bond violation. 9:48 p.m.

Search for missing man suspended

The nearly two-week search for a 70-year-old Wakpala man last seen on Lake Oahe near Mobridge on January 27 was suspended on Feb. 9, until ice melts off the segment of the Missouri River known as his last location.
