Search continues for fisherman last seen on Lake Oahe

The Corson County Sheriff’s Office is leading the search for a 70-year-old Wakpala man last seen on Lake Oahe near Mobridge around 8 p.m. MT on Thursday, Jan. 27. In a statement released Monday, Sheriff Alan Dale said Clyde Oswald was reported missing around 12:20 p.m. last Friday.

November 2, 2021 Samantha Uses Arrow, 28, of Little Eagle, charged with distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death, was indicted on October 13, 2021. She appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on November 1, 2021, and pled not guilty to the indictment.

The U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and U.S. Dept. of Transportation (DOT) last week awarded more than $93 million in grant funds to Native American tribes, including the Standing Rock and Cheyenne River Sioux tribes.

The Dewey County Library and Dewey County 4-H are working together with a fun activity for Youth ages 8-18, 4-H members and nonmembers with The Odd Places to Read Book Contest. Prizes will be up for grabs. The event started on January 28 and will conclude on February 18.
