Isabel Dakotan February 13, 1992 Peterson posts 100th win Isabel basketball coach, Rocky Peterson, posted his 100th win Tuesday evening when his Wildcats won over McIntosh, at McIntosh.

TRAIL CITY NEWS

On Thursday, Gary Vance and Judy and Tobi Hintz went to Faith. On Saturday morning, all three of them went to the stock show in Rapid City. They also went to the horse sale, rodeo, and saddle bronc match all in one day. They met up with Kaitlin Konchne and Troy and Denise Bauman at the rodeo.

Timber Lake High School freshmen recently took a class on how and when to administer cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and when and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to give an electric shock to restore heart rhythm. TOP: Kiya Mowrer and Jordan Jones demonstrate the procedures.

Seeing Shadows

Did the groundhog see his shadow this year? Every year on February 2, people gather in the small town of Punxsutawney in western Pennsylvania to observe the annual Groundhog Day ceremony. If the groundhog does see his shadow, he may retreat to his den and winter will last another six weeks.

Miranda Hulm on MTC President’s List

Miranda Hulm of Trail City, a 2020 graduate of Timber Lake High School, has been named to the Mitchell Technical College 2021 Fall Semester President’s List. Miranda is the daughter of Steve Hulm of Trail City and Rashell Hulm of Mobridge.

Malory Peacock on USD dean’s list

Malory Peacock of Dupree has been named to the University of South Dakota 2021 Fall Semester Dean’s List. Malory is a 2021 graduate of Dupree High School and is the daughter of Mark and Patty Peacock of Dupree.

Shayna Farlee wins actor award

Dupree High School took their one act play, “High School Reunion,” to the Class A Regional One Act Play Contest in Pierre recently. The play took 5th place with Stanley County placing 1st and Chamberlain taking 2nd. The top two plays go on to the state level contest Feb. 3-5.
