October 20, 2021 Toni Carole Cochran, 26, of Eagle Butte was indicted by a federal grand jury for assaulting, resisting, and impeding a federal officer on October 13, 2021. She appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on October 19, 2021, and pled not guilty to the indictment.

Family, friends celebrate Johnsons’ 50th anniversary

Allen and Leota were married on January 1, 1972 at Isabel Baptist Church. The wedding nearly didn’t happen that day due to the cold conditions. They lived briefly in Vale and near Trail City before returning to the Firesteel area, where they have lived ever since.

After the temperature being so cold and in the negatives, it is slowly but finally going up a couple degrees. This past weekend on a Sunday afternoon, a church dinner and bingo was held in Trail City where many people brought food and prizes to share.
