Carina, Briston, Brekon, and Bray Friesz of Mandan were over to visit Chuck and Marsha Aberle Sunday through Thursday. Amaya Aberle of Mobridge was also there Sunday through Wednesday. Last Friday, Chuck and Marsha were in Aberdeen for business.

Fodness to lead Dupree District

A veteran administrator with more than 30 years in education has assumed the role of superintendent for the Dupree School District. He succeeds Gail Swenson, who retired at the end of last school year.

Power off, power on at Dupree

Thursday evening, August 19th, Moreau-Grand Electric lost 13 threephase poles west of Dupree when strong straight line winds came through the area followed by much needed rain.

Blood drives

Donors, mark your calendars. The next Timber Lake Community Blood drive is set for Wednesday, Sept. 22 from noon to 4 p.m. MT at the Timber Lake Community Center. A blood drive is scheduled to be held in Dupree on September 20 at the Catholic Church Hall from 3 to 6 p.m.

Homecoming

Timber Lake and Dupree schools have set dates for Homecoming. Dupree’s Homecoming will be next week, beginning with coronation on Monday, August 30 at 6 p.m. Timber Lake will celebrate Homecoming the week of Sept. 13-17 with coronation on Monday, Sept. 13. Watch for more details next week.
