Corson Co. Fair kicks off Friday with judging

The 2021 Corson County Fair begins Friday, Aug. 13, in McIntosh with exhibit judging and continues through Sunday, Aug. 15, with a livestock show, ranch rodeo and more. County 4-H static exhibits will be judged beginning at 8 a.m.

Rock Creek Legion plans re-enactment of Iwo Jima victory

A VJ Day celebration planned for Sunday, Aug. 15, in Bullhead will include a re-enactment of the flag raising on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima. The event, hosted by Rock Creek American Legion Post 324, will begin at 12 noon. On Feb.

Back to school

Timber Lake teachers are at work this week, with Aug. 11 and 12 in-service days, and classes will begin next Wednesday, August 18 with four new teachers and free meals for all students. Middle School Open House is set for Thursday, August 12 from 6 to 7 p.m.

The winner

The winner of the afghan raffled off by the Isabel Senior Citizens last week was Leva Lawrence of Trenton, ND. The afghan was donated by Dave and Fran Rollason.
