Projects will require resident survey

Water and wastewater were the headliners at the Timber Lake City Board meeting on Thursday, July 8. City Finance Officer Karla Nordyke reviewed the city’s water and wastewater planning studies and applications being prepared by Clark Engineering and the Central S.D. Enhancement District.

Dewey/Corson County Crop Tour set for July 15

The annual Dewey/Corson County Crop Tour is slated to be held Thursday, July 15. Extremely dry conditions have been hard on crops during June, but the tour is still an excellent time to discuss new varieties and visit with other farmers and area agronomists.

Timber Lake Volunteer Fire Dept., Grady Kraft, Chief July 3, 2021: 8:20 p.m.: Responded with two Type 6 engines and 1 tender to a report of grass fire north of the Lamb residence near White Horse. No fire was located and believed to be dust or clouds from a passing storm.

TLRA awards two $500 scholarships

The Timber Lake Rodeo Association has awarded two college scholarships to local students. Sydney Maher and Stormi Hulm will each receive $500 toward their post-secondary education. Sydney is attending Gillette College in Gillette, WY.
