The Isabel News June 12, 1931 Governor and Mrs. Green and Chas McCafferre were in Isabel Sunday morning. They came to see the coal mine northeast of town. J. B. Tidball and T. J. Holt showed them the way out to the mine.

Esther Hahne attended Morgan Hahne and Blake Voegele’s graduations. Morgan’s was in Box Elder on the 16th and Blake’s was in Aberdeen on the 23rd. Esther also attended a Hahne-Grismer family gathering in Watertown.

PreK - Jacalyn Marshall is the May Student of the Month in PreK. Jacalyn worked very hard this year learning her letters and sounds and is now starting to read Beginning Reader Books. When Jacalyn started PreK, she was quiet and shy, but she is now one of the first to answer questions and volunteer.

ZCHS seeking family stories for sequel to Ziebach 1982 book

The Ziebach County Historical Society is seeking family stories for the sequel to the 1982 History Book. The Society would like to see every family in Ziebach County be included in the book and urges everyone to gather their family’s history and write about it.

ZCHS collecting treasures for annual silent auction

The Ziebach County Historical Society will hold its 18th Annual Silent Auction on Saturday, June 26 during the Dupree Pioneer Days celebration. The auction will be held at Harry’s Hall on Main Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
