There are a lot of ways for a lamb to end up as a bottle baby. Their mother gets sick and they are orphaned. They are born with a physical problem, or the mother’s body doesn’t produce enough milk. There’s so much that can go wrong, sometimes it amazes me that it ever goes right.

School year ends Friday

Timber Lake students will be dismissed at noon on Friday, May 14. Teachers will have work days on Monday and Tuesday, May 17 and 18. A brief staff retirement recognition party is set for May 18 at 4 p.m. in the Commons. The public is welcome.

Memorial Day

Timber Lake will have a Memorial Day program on Monday, May 31. Details will be announced later.

Lemburg exits, leaving Timber Lake City Board with only three members

At the Timber Lake City Board’s annual reorganization meeting on Monday, May 10, board chairman Josh Lemburg was not in attendance.

Isabel board re-elects Maher

The Isabel Town Board tackled the annual reorganization at its meeting last Tuesday, May 4, with little else on the agenda to handle. Trustee Daryl Pfaff was sworn in for another term on the board and then promptly re-elected to serve as vice-president.
