Board approves new equipment for Isabel Community Hall kitchen

On-going efforts to make improvements at the Isabel Community Center took a big step forward this week when the town board approved the purchase of appliances and accessories for the building's kitchen.

LifeWalk set for April 28

Everyone is welcome to participate in LifeWalk on Wednesday, April 28 at the Timber Lake track field beginning at 6:15 p.m. The event will close with a Rosary for Life and Balloon Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Women’s Care Center in Bismarck, ND.

Landowners with fractional interests on Standing Rock getting buy-back offers

The Dept. of the Interior has mailed approximately $30 million in purchase offers to more than 2,000 landowners with fractional interests on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota and South Dakota. Landowners who received offers have until May 17 to consider and return accepted offers.

McLaughlin voters reject measure to ban alcohol sales

Voters in McLaughlin last week rejected an initiated measure that would have banned the sale of alcohol within the city limits. In the April 13 vote, 80 ballots were cast against the measure and 47 were cast in favor of it.
