Early dismissal

Timber Lake School will dismiss at 12:30 on Thursday, March 5 so that fans can attend the SoDak 16 girls basketball semi-final game in Huron. Timber Lake meets Corsica-Stickney at 4:30 p.m. MT (5:30 CT).

Missing CRST man found dead

A Cheyenne River Sioux man who was the subject of a six-day long missing person search has been found deceased. Justin William Reede, 24, was found on Feb. 19, presumed longdead from exposure to the elements. He went missing the night of Saturday, Feb.

Local rancher Zach Ducheneaux named National FSA Administrator

Dewey County rancher and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe member Zach Ducheneaux has been appointed Administrator of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) - the first Native American to ever hold the position.

Bogue steps down as legal counsel for Town of Isabel

The town of Isabel is looking for new legal counsel after accepting the resignation of attorney Cheryl Bogue at its Feb. 15 meeting. Bogue, a partner with her husband, Eric, in the firm of Bogue & Bogue at Faith, was hired as the town's attorney last summer.
