Museum silent auction raised over $3000

The silent auction fund raiser at the Timber Lake Museum ended on Sept. 1 and bids were opened on Sept. 3. The bids on 25 items totaled $3331, and one donor (Dean Hagen of Niles, MI) dropped a check for $500 in the bid box. Here are the top bids and bidders: 1.

Rodeo Roundup: Young, Schott have big weekend in Killdeer, ND

Dupree tie-down roper Trey Young was named All-Around Cowboy at the Badlands Iron Cowboy Rodeo in Killdeer, ND on Friday, Sept. 4. He finished second in the tie-down roping event and also competed in team roping.

COVID case at Timber Lake School

A positive case of COVID-19 was identified at Timber Lake Elementary School last week. Supt. Dan Martin made that announcement in a School Reach call on Friday, September 4, saying that any potential contacts would be notified by the SD Dept. of Health or CRST Tribal Health.
