Bob and Ruby Hollenbeck traveled to Mobridge to visit Danny and Hayley Nickels. They also helped Dakota Nickels celebrate his 20th birthday. Tara Hintz competed in the Little Miss Newell contest on Saturday. She won’t know if she won or not until next Monday.
Homecoming candidates (From the Timber Lake Topic, September 21, 2000) Next week is Homecoming Week at Timber Lake High School. The festivities will begin with the crowning of the king and queen on September 24 at 7 p.m. Candidates for the honor are these eight seniors. FRONT (L-R): Ross Kraft and Lacy Maher; BACK: William Kougl, Shane Weber, Marshall Totton, Marea Johnson, Angie Jones, and Jami Maciejewski. (Shane Weber and Lacy Maher became king and queen.)

Silent auction bid opening

Bidding in the silent auction fund raiser at the Timber Lake Museum ended at 5 p.m on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The sealed bids on the 25 items will be opened at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. The public is welcome to observe, and those with the top bids may pick up their items that day if they like.
