More than 40 people discussed ways to improve the community at a meeting hosted July 17 by Timber Lake & Area Development and the Timber Lake Topic.

They brought up ideas, projects and needs in two categories: economic issues and quality of life issues. (See list) As follow-up to the meeting, a questionnaire asking people to state which things on the list they think are most important AND which they are willing to work on.

The questionnaire is being delivered to everyone who signed up at the meeting with a request that they be returned by August 10 to Robert Slocum at the Topic, Roger Lawien at Moreau-Grand or Rusty Gebhardt at Western Dakota Bank.
