Summer Kosel of Glenham topped the leaderboard in barrel racing at Watertown PRCA Rodeo held Aug. 5-6, clocking a 16.12 second run to earn $1,607. Also last week, Kosel placed fourth at he Richland County Fair & Rodeo in Sidney, MT with a 17.

The Panther volleyball season is set to open at Harding County on August 25, followed by home games with Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on August 30, Bison of September 1, and Herreid-Selby on Sept. 8.

Jet Liner delivers win for Garrett in Oregon

In May 2021, Shorty Garrett of Dupree scored 81.5 points on a bronc named Jet Liner at a rodeo in Ellensburg, WA. Like he does with each draw, Garrett made some mental notes about the ride in case he ever crossed paths with the Western Rodeos bronc again.
