Burress ties-down top honors at Rapid City Jr. High Rodeo

Hayes Burress of Isabel posted a time of 13.87 seconds to win the tie-down roping event at the Rapid City Jr. High Rodeo last Friday, May 6, blowing by runner-up Brand Hilgenkamp of Wall for top honors. Burress also finished 11th in ribbon roping with a time of 12.53 seconds.

TL boys 2nd at Eureka Lions Track Invite

The Timber Lake boys collected just two individual first place finishes at the Eureka Lions Track Invitational last Tuesday, May 3, but three runner-up showings in relay events helped push the Panthers into second place in the overall standings.

TL boys part of large field at 2022 Howard Wood Relays

The Timber Lake Panther boys relay teams were joined by runners from Dupree and Mobridge-Pollock in a field of more than 50 schools competing in the Class B division of the annual Howard Wood Dakota Relays held Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, in Sioux Falls.

Halfred leads C-EB boys at Kadoka

Senior Isaac Halfred led the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves at the 19-team Discount Fuel/Gas & Go Track and Field Invitational in Kadoka on Saturday, May 7, claiming two top five finishes in distance events. No team scores were counted at the meet. Halfred clocked in at 5:20.

MAROON AND GREY WINS THE DAY

Timber Lake swept the team titles at the Sully Buttes Middle School Track Meet last Thursday, May 5, running away with both the boys and girls team crowns on the strength of five individual and two relay team championships.

Panther boys fly to TL Invite title

Sparked by the performance of senior standout Hank Kraft, the Timber Lake Panthers dominated the field at the Timber Lake Invitational Track Meet last Tuesday, April 26, winning the boys team title by more than 50 points over runner-up Mobridge-Pollock.
