Burress ties-down top honors at Rapid City Jr. High Rodeo

Hayes Burress of Isabel posted a time of 13.87 seconds to win the tie-down roping event at the Rapid City Jr. High Rodeo last Friday, May 6, blowing by runner-up Brand Hilgenkamp of Wall for top honors. Burress also finished 11th in ribbon roping with a time of 12.53 seconds.

Maher qualifies for CNFR

Timber Lake native Sydney Maher is one of seven members from the Black Hills State University rodeo team who qualified last week for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), which is slated June 12-18 in Casper, WY.
