Dupree saddle bronc rider Shorty Garrett covered two-of-three broncs in Bracket C of the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, which continues through July 19.Garrett put up 84.5 points in the opening round on Pedro from the Wayne Vold Rodeo Co. to finish fourth overall and pocket $3,250.

Dupree School to upgrade football, track facilities

Faith cowboys lead bronc riders at Ft. Pierre on July 4

A pair of Faith bronc riders earned championship buckles at the 4th of July SDRA Rodeo in Ft. Pierre last Thursday and Friday, July 3-4, as Iver Paul won the bareback bronc riding event and Jake Foster topped the leaderboard in saddle bronc riding.
