Participation numbers up as Panther golfers hit the fairway

Three returning letterwinners, luding two state tournament qualifiers, will anchor a growing Timber Lake boys golf team that opened practice Monday, March 31.The Panthers are slated to tee off the season Friday, April 11, if weather permits.

Panther boys’ season ends with So Dak 16 defeat

Timber Lake’s hopes of advancing to the State Class B Tournament ended last Tuesday, March 11, as the Panthers fell behind Wessington Springs early in their So Dak 16 matchup in Ft. Pierre and were unable to recover as the Spartans cruised to a 75-49 win.

Nine Dupree youth grapplers qualify for State Tournament

Nine members of the Dupree Youth Wrestling Club will compete for state titles next weekend after earning top three finishes in their respective weight classes at the Region 1 South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association (SDWCA) Tournament held Saturday, March 15.

Panthers nip Dupree 56-53 for So Dak 16 berth

With identical 14-7 records, similar playing styles, and a berth in the So Dak 16 on the line, last Thursday’s Region 8B boys basketball semifinal between Timber Lake and Dupree was bound to be a barn-burner ... and it didn’t disappoint.
