Seventh grader Bricelyn Pederson had a stellar day at the Timber Lake JV Invitational Track Meet last Thursday, May 1, at Doug Kraft Field, winning four individual events to lead the Panthers.Pederson won the 100 meter run with a time of 14.13 and took the 200 meter run by clocking in at 29.92.

Mobridge native trains Kentucky Derby winner

The trainer of the horse that won Saturday’s Kentucky Derby is originally from Mobridge.Sovereignty had 7-1 odds of winning the 1¼ mile long Kentucky Derby for four-time trainer of the year Bill Mott, but the colt did it in a time of 2:02.31.
