Panther boys edge Potter Co. in regular season hoops finale

The Timber Lake Panthers wrapped up their regular season schedule with a nail-biter last Friday, Feb. 28, holding off a late Potter County charge to slip past the Battlers by a basket, 67-65, for their eighth consecutive home win.

McIntosh native Utter to be inducted into hoops coaches HOF

McIntosh native Byron Utter of Mobridge will be inducted this month into the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Hall of Shrine.Utter will be honored at the upcoming South Dakota state high school girls and boys basketball tournaments set March 13-15 and 20-22.

C-EB-D’s Schrempp qualifies for State Class A mat tournament

Grapplers from the Timber Lake Panthers and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte-Dupree (C-EB-D) Braves were among those competing at wrestling regionals on Saturday, Feb.22.C-EB-D’s Tripp Schrempp was the lone wrestler from either school to qualify for the state tournament, which gets underway Thursday, Feb. 27.

Timber Lake youth wrestlers collect three firsts at Harding Co.

The Timber Lake Youth Wrestling program had three competitors claim first place finishes while five others placed in the top four of their respective divisions at the Harding County AAU Tournament held Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Buffalo.
