TL girls enter Region 8B tourney with 11-9 mark

Timber Lake’s regular season didn’t end the way the Lady Panthers hoped it would as they lost back-to-back contests to Class A Cheyenne-Eagle Butte last Tuesday, Feb.18, and Kadoka Area on Friday, Feb. 21, to finish the regular season with an 11-9 record.

Dupree wrestlers dominate Mobridge-Pollock tourney

Dupree wrestlers dominated the podium at the Mobridge-Pollock Youth Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, Feb.23, collecting seven first place finishes and placing another nine in the top four of their respective weight classes.

TL girls close out regular season Friday at Kadoka

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers moved to 11-7 overall last week, losing on the road to Mobridge-Pollock and then knocking off Newell. Timber Lake travels to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Thursday, Feb. 20, and will close out its regular schedule Friday, Feb.

Panther boys down Bison, fall to Wall in Belle Fourche Classic

The Timber Lake Panthers split a pair of contests in the past week, slipping past Bison 55-51 last Tuesday, Feb. 10, before dropping a 69-54 decision to a hot-shooting Wall team at the Belle Fourche Classic on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Panther boys come from behind to down Dupree by two

The Timber Lake Panthers trailed the Dupree Tigers by 18 points with three-and-a-half minutes left in the first quarter but battled to within four by intermission and ended with a hard-fought 54-52 victory in what turned into a Cheyenne River classic last Tuesday, Feb. 4.
