TL girls earn second place at round robin

Timber Lake’s Selena Longbrake went 3-0 to win the girls 126-pound bracket and teammate Lilly Veit claimed second at 185 pounds to lift the Panthers to second place on the girls side of the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree Round Robin Invitational on Monday, Feb. 3.

Schoelerman’s 17 leads Lady Panthers to win

Sophomore star ter Jaylee Schoelerman poured in a game-high 17 points to lead the Timber Lake Lady Panthers past the McIntosh Tigers 54-33 last Thursday, Jan. 30, in a Little Moreau Conference matchup.The win lifted Timber Lake to 9-5 overall while McIntosh dropped to 4-10 with the loss.

C-EB/Dupree matmen claim sixth place at Lemmon Mat Mixer

The Dekle boys - Zach at 132 pounds and Cameron at 175/190 - won their weight classes and accounted for 16 team points as the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree Braves claimed sixth place overall at the Lemmon Mat Mixer last Tuesday, Jan. 28.
Players in the Donkey Basketball game sponsored by the Dupree Booster Club last Thursday, Jan. 23, had a hard time figuring out how to steer their donkeys ... and spent more time concentrating on staying on-board than they did scoring a basket. TL girls claim LMC Tournament consolation crown over Newell

Timber Lake outscored Newell 22-8 in the first half and cruised through the second half to claim consolation championship honors over the Irrigators 45-28 at the girls Little Moreau Conference Tournament played Saturday, Jan. 25, in Lemmon.

Sully Buttes gets past Panthers by 10

Timber Lake led by seven at halftime but the Sully Buttes Chargers outscored the Panthers 33-16 after the break to collect a 58-48 win in boys hoops action last Tuesday, Jan. 21.
