TL Youth Wrestling captures four top finishes at Heart of a Champion event

A large contingent of competitors from the Timber Lake Youth Wrestling Club took to the mat on Sunday, Jan. 26, for the 2025 Brooks Monfore Heart of a Champion Tournament in Pierre, returning home with four first place finishes and an overall impressive showing.

Lemmon tops Panther boys for LMC Tournament title

The 2024 Little Moreau Conference Tournament championship came down to the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds - Lemmon and Timber Lake - on Saturday, Jan. 25, with the Cowboys hoisting the championship at the end of a 66-53 battle with the Panthers.

Panther girls beat Sully Buttes in a 39-38 regular season fight

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers trailed most of its game with Sully Buttes last Tuesday, Jan. 21, but outscored the Chargers 12-3 in the final quarter to erase a 14-point deficit and rally for the win.The Lady Panthers travel to McIntosh on Saturday, Feb. 1, and host Dupree on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
