TL powerlifters capture medals in Box Elder

The Timber Lake High School powerlifting club had a strong showing at a recent meet in Box Elder, capturing three gold, two silver and one bronze medal.Competitors perform a squat lift, a bench lift and a dead lift and are scored on the total weight lifted.

Timber Lake girls on a roll with three big wins

Timber Lake racked up three consecutive victories in the past week with two of the wins coming over Little Moreau Conference girls basketball foes.The Lady Panthers slipped past Faith in overtime before handling Potter County and Bison to improve to 6-3 on the season.

The Dupree Tigers saw their win streak snapped at seven games last Friday, Jan.10, when Little Wound pulled off a 70-51 non-conference upset, dropping Dupree to 7-2 on the season. Little Wound improved to 5-3 overall.No scoring or stats were provided from the game.

TL Youth wrestlers garner special award

Three members of the Timber Lake Youth Wrestling team earned second place finishes in their respective weight classes at the Brandon Delzer Memorial Tournament in Sturgis on Saturday, Jan. 11, but the team as a whole was recognized with a special award.

Hot-shooting Panther boys cruise to fifth straight win

The Timber Lake boys basketball team started the season with two losses in its first three games. Since then, however, the Panthers have been on an impressive roll, earning their fifth straight win on Saturday, Jan. 11, with a 57-23 decision over Tiospaye Topa.

Veit’s second place finish at Hettinger leads TL wrestlers

Timber Lake’s Lilly Veit captured second place honors at the Hettinger Wrestling Classic in Hettinger, ND, on Saturday, Jan. 11, to lead the Panther wrestlers in a 12-team field.The Panthers will wrestle at the Potter County Invitational in Gettysburg this week. The girls will compete Friday, Jan.

Dupree girls come up short in close battle with Little Wound

What was a close game throughout came down to the final seconds of play and Little Wound proved to have just a little more left in the tank than Dupree, slipping past the Lady Tigers 48-46 last Friday, Jan.10.Dupree,1-8 overall this season, will travel to Lemmon on Saturday, Jan.
