Area competitors collect big wins on INFR Tour

Several area competitors scored first place finishes at stops along the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) Tour in Rocky Boy, MT and Pine Ridge the weekend of Aug. 1-4.

TL Days of 1910 Rodeo crowns new champions

The weather was hot and so was the action at the 2024 Days of 1910 Rodeo in Timber Lake last Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, with big crowds braving the heat for the two main performances.Dupree calf roper Trey Young captured his second Days of 1910 championship in three years with a nice 10.

West River competitors shine at Herreid event

Competitors from west of the Missouri River scored more than their fair share of prize money at the Campbell County SDRA Rodeo in Herreid on Saturday, July 27, with event winners hailing from Timber Lake, Dupree, and Opal.

Kraft opens training camp on PUP list due to injury and surgery

Both tight end Tucker Kraft and right tackle Zach Tom started Green Bay Packers training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List due to pectoral injuries they suffered during the off-season.

Hometown cowboys take top honors at Eagle Butte events

Since the bull riding and ranch bronc riding events held in Eagle Butte Friday and Saturday, July 1920, were part of the community’s Hometown Days celebration, it was only fitting that a pair of hometown cowboys walked away with the top prizes.

Kraft, Bauer host football camp in TL

A two-day football camp recently hosted by former Timber Lake High School standout Hank Kraft and Mobridge-Pollock High School graduate Brady Bauer at Doug Kraft Field in Timber Lake drew 24 campers.
