Lady Panthers end regular season with win over C-EB

Timber Lake outscored Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 17-6 in the third quarter of their meeting last Friday, Feb. 19, and that proved to be enough for the Lady Panthers to reel in a 52-37 victory in their final game of the 2023-24 regular season.

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers will close out their regular season schedule Friday, Feb. 16, by hosting the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (C-EB) Lady Braves in non-conference hoops action before heading into the Region 8B Tournament next week. Timber Lake, 6-12 overall, hosted Kadoka Area on Tuesday, Feb.

When it comes to feeling comfortable and putting on a show, the Timber Lake Panthers would rather play on their home court than anywhere else. Why wouldn’t they? The Panthers improved to 11-6 overall this week with convincing victories over Newell and Dupree.

2024 high school rodeo season kicks off April 20

The South Dakota High School Rodeo Association (SDHSRA) has announced its 2024 schedule for practice and regional rodeos, kicking off the season April 20-21 with the New Underwood Practice Rodeo at the James Kjerstad Event Center in Rapid City.

Crow Ghost leads Mustang wrestlers at Bennett County

McLaughlin-Timber Lake’s Carmine Crow Ghost improved to 1618 on the season with an impressive second place finish in the 138-pound weight class at the Bennett County Wrestling Invitational held Saturday, Feb. 10, in Martin.
