School board sets calendar for 2025-26, accepts resignations

The Timber Lake School Board accepted the school calendar for 202526 and dealt with several personnel matters - including staff negotiations - at its meeting last Wednesday, March 12.The first day of school will be August 18, 2025 and classes will dismiss at noon on the final day, May 15, 2026.

Remains are young woman last seen in EB

A badly decomposed body found by a hiker near Hill City two weeks ago has been identified as a young woman last seen in Eagle Butte early last fall.The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office said the body was identified as 21-year-old Sahela Sangrait. She was reported missing on Aug.
