Pesticide training sites, dates set

South Dakota State University Extension’s 2024 winter and spring private pesticide applicator certification training sessions are set. The live trainings are from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. MT (1:30 to 4:30 CT) on Jan. 22, Feb. 7, March 13 and April 10, 2024.

SDSU announces fall 2023 dean's list

More than 3,400 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the fall 2023 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the dean's list.

Mitchell Tech announces Fall President’s List

A total of 356 Mitchell Technical College students earned recognition on the Fall 2023 President’s List, according to MTC President Mark Wilson. To be named to the list, students must earn a term Grade Point Average of at least 3.5 on a 4.

Meals on Wheels

Monday, January 22: Hamburger on a bun, leaf lettuce and tomato slices, baked beans, potato salad, and Mandarin oranges. Tuesday, January 23: Chef ’s choice. Wednesday, January 24: Hungarian goulash, cooked cabbage, corn, Jello w/topping, pears, and bread.

January 23, 1964 Don Farlee elected as chairman of Dewey County Board of Commissioners Don Farlee of Lantry was elected chairman of the board of county commissioners at the reorganizational meeting of the board held Jan. 7.

TRAIL CITY NEWS

Most residents of Trail City were inside keeping warm with these frigid temperatures. Others were out feeding cattle and making sure they are fed plenty to stay warm. Last week on Thursday during the evening, Sweenie Mowrer had the company of Kiya, River and Jiel Mowrer.
