One yearling

This Red Angus yearling heifer belongs to Archie Hulm of Timber Lake. She is one of about 3.8 million head of cattle in South Dakota as of the January 2022 USDA inventory.

School board approves D&D bid to replace aging fire alarm system

Improvements at the Timber Lake School are on-going this spring with the board of education voting last Wednesday, March 16, to move forward with upgrading the fire alarm system at a cost considerably less than they anticipated.

Rep. Lesmeister reports from Pierre

Hello again from Pierre. This was our last week of session until we return for veto day on March 28. As I stated the bills really started to pile up on the floor on Monday (March 7). We had an early start to the day at 10 a.m. floor session and we moved through the bills until all were done.

Isabel takes in record sales tax revenue during pandemic

An increase in on-line shopping activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the return of local rodeos are being credited for the town of Isabel taking record sales tax revenues into its coffers last year.
