Live music, more set for June 30 event

Not everything happens on the weekends. Timber Lake is planning a special downtown event for Wednesday, June 30. Live music and a book signing by Eliza Blue, the grand opening of The Junction/ Grounded Coffee and Gifts, and Kids’ Night at the Museum are on tap. See more on page 16.

German supper

The Timber Lake Rodeo Association wants people to know that the German supper is back on the schedule for the Days of 1910. The supper precedes the talent show in the Days of 1910 Tent on Thursday, July 22. Watch for more Days of 1910 details in the coming weeks.

High winds and heavy rains cause damage and flooding

A severe thunderstorm that rolled through the area last Tuesday night, June 8, brought with it high winds and heavy rains that caused power outages and flash flooding.

New Sacred Heart Chacon Family Safe Shelter to be dedicated

After more than two years of planning, construction and unforeseen delays, the new Sacred Heart Chacon Family Safe Shelter in Eagle Butte is ready for staff and clients. The new facility, located at 508 Sycamore Street, will be dedicated at 11 a.m. MT on Tuesday, June 22.

Water projects estimated at $4 million

With Lilian Turcotte and Sandra Koenig taking the oath of office on June 3, the Timber Lake City Board has all five seats filled. Both have served on the board before and accepted appointments for oneyear terms. The other board members are Tom Hermes (chair), Mike LaCompte, and Jess Schlosser.

Board okays off-sale license for Maher

The Isabel Town Board voted Monday to revise the rates it charges under its municipal alcohol license operating agreement and approved a new off-sale alcohol license for a future Main Street business.
