Amy Taylor of Isabel has earned a place on the Dean’s List for spring 2021 semester at Western Dakota Tech with a GPA of 3.5. She also made the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Amy is the daughter of Cindy Taylor, Isabel, and is majoring in Business & Computer Technology.

Isabel’s Kenlea Heck claimed top honors in barrel racing at the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association’s River Region Rodeo in Highmore Saturday, June 5, topping a field of 47 competitors in the event.

Jacob Kammerer of Philip finished in a tie for fifth place in the saddle bronc event at the Old Fort Days Rodeo May 31-June 5 in Fort Smith, AR.

Faith cowboy first in cutting at NW Regional

Trey Fuller of Faith scored first place in the boy’s cutting event at the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association’s Northwest Regional in Buffalo on Saturday, June 5. Fuller was the only competitor to score in both go-arounds, putting up 69 points on his first run and 71 on his second.

Jaxon and Logan Weise spent the weekend at Jim and Jackie Keller's house. Last weekend, Judy Hintz was in Rapid City with Gary Vance to help celebrated Gary's grandson's graduation at the Cathedral. After the graduation, they went to Gary’s parents and had supper.

Natalie (Schoeppner) Biegler of Timber Lake participated in the Miss South Dakota’s Outstanding Teen pageant in Brookings last weekend. She was named Miss Jacks Outstanding Teen at SDSU in 2019 but the state pageant was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
