The team representing Timber Lake High School at the Northwest Area Schools Academic Olympics competition in Lemmon last week brought home 14 trophies for placing 1st through 5th in their subjects.

The Timber Lake School Board, meeting on April 14, accepted resignations from 10 staff members - mostly from extracurricular duties - while approving four new contracts. The only resignation from an instructional position came from elementary teacher Tammy Schrempp.

At the April 12 meeting of the Timber Lake City Board, Jake Kraft asked for an amendment to his lease of the city’s airport to allow him to operate a gun shop for the manufacture, sale and purchase of firearms in his building located there.

Decision on future of DAPL delayed again

A judge on Friday once again delayed a decision on whether the Dakota Access oil pipeline should be shut down while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers conducts an environmental review on the project, giving lawyers for the pipeline more time to outline the effects of recent changes in the economy.
