April 5, 2021 Theresa Red Fox, 35, of McLaughlin was indicted on February 8, 2021 by a federal grand jury for two counts of assault of a federal officer. She appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge William D. Gerdes on April 2, 2021, and pled not guilty to the indictment.

Spring play is ‘Clue’

The dates are set for the Timber Lake High School spring play. “Clue,” a comedy based on the cult classic film and popular board game, will be presented on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 2 at 3 p.m.

Dewey Co. 4-H Club News

The Dewey County 4-H Club met on March 20 at the Isabel Community Center in Isabel. We had our awards day and our first club meeting where we elected club officers: Kendyl Locken (president), Brelan Maher (vice-president), Brady Maher (secretary), Levi Berndt (treasurer), and Tara Hintz (reporter).

Young 2nd in final, average at RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo

Trey Young had a stellar weekend at the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, placing top four in three rounds of tie-down roping and finishing second in the event final. In doing so, the 29-yearold Dupree cowboy finished second in the average, clocking in with a total time of 32.8 seconds.

This week’s weather in Trail City was a variety of warm and sunny, a little rainy, cold and snowy and a whole lot of wind. Jim and Jackie Keller were in Miller Friday through Saturday. They were there to celebrate Jackie’s dad, Jack Hughes’ 92nd birthday.

USDA announces Pandemic Assistance for Producers

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that USDA is establishing new programs and efforts to bring financial assistance to farmers, ranchers and producers who felt the impact of COVID-19 market disruptions.
