Alva “Sweetpea” Scares the Hawk, 54, of White Horse passed away December 8, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND with her family by her side.

Leroy V. LaPlante Sr. “Wiyaka Luta” (Red Feather)

On November 28, 2020, Leroy V. LaPlante, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. At his request, no wake services were held. Burial was at the LaPlante Family Cemetery at Eagle Butte.

James A. Tompkins

James A. Tompkins, 68, of Findlay, OH passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Jim was born on October 11, 1952 to Leo and Violet (Pratt) Tompkins. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from South Dakota State University.

W. Lloyd Dale

William Lloyd Dale, 82, of Lemmon moved to his heavenly home on December 4, 2020. He was surrounded by family members at the Bismarck (ND) Sanford Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, Bill (Jackie) Dale of Timber Lake, and Shannon (Erin) Dale of Mobridge.

Carol Margaret Elk Nation, 62, of Eagle Butte entered the spirit world Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Monument Health in Rapid City. In compliance with the CRST COVID directives, a private family service was held Monday, December 7, 2020 at All Saints Catholic Church.
