Thompson, Cowboys rout Longhorns

Lemmon-McIntosh quarterback Cody Thompson threw six touchdowns Friday to lead the No. 2-ranked Cowboys past the Faith Longhorns in a 52-0 blowout. Lemmon-McIntosh improved to 4-0 on the season and will square off against 3-1 Timber Lake in Lemmon this Friday, Sept. 25.

Standing in solidarity for Mobridge...

Members of the Timber Lake and Dupree volleyball teams paid their respects to the community of Mobridge and the family of Emily Holzer, 16, a Mobridge-Pollock student who died in an automobile wreck Sept. 15.

Cheyenne River will have hunting seasons

Upland game bird hunting seasons on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation will be open to both residents and non-residents this fall, but big game seasons will carry some limitations, according to the CRST Game, Fish & Parks Department.

With team members Caleb Bieber and Chase Marshall out of action due to injuries, junior Ian Beyer stepped up for the Timber Lake Panthers on Saturday, turning in his best performance of the season to finish third in the varsity boys race at the Ipswich Cross Country Invitational.

Panthers upended in homestand

The Timber Lake Panthers dropped to 2-5 on the season with a 3-1 loss to visiting Herreid-Selby in volleyball action last Thursday. The Wolverines opened the match with a 25-17 win but Timber Lake battled back to take game two by a score of 25-22.

If you were waiting in line for popcorn a few minutes at the concession stand when the Newell Panthers kicked off to the Timber Lake Panthers last Friday and returned to your seat wondering what you missed ... well, to put it simply - a lot.

Lady Panthers earn first win at Stanley County triangular

With three losses in their first three games, the Timber Lake volleyball team broke out of its season-opening slump on Saturday, knocking off White River and Stanley County at the Stanley County Volleyball Triangular in Ft. Pierre to improve to 2-3 overall.

Martin passes Timber Lake past Dupree

Kedrick Martin was nearly perfect on Friday. Nearly. The junior quarterback completed 5-of-6 passes, including four touchdown strikes, to lead the Timber Lake Panthers past the Dupree Tigers 58-6 in Region 4 football action last Friday.
