Timber Lake’s girls basketball season wrapped up last Thursday, Feb. 26, as the Lady Panthers fell 63-13 to top-seeded Harding County in the Region 8B SoDak 16 qualifier.Harding County led from the opening tip, leading 19-6, 34-9 and 54-13 at the quarter stops.

Luke Beer claims state K of C Hoop Shoot title

Timber Lake’s Luke Beer won the state Knights of Columbus Hoop Shoot championship recently in the boys 13-year-old division.Twelve Timber Lake competitors won their local divisions.

C-EB-D wrestlers qualify for State Class A Tournament

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte-Dupree (C-EB-D) wrestling team finished eighth in the team standings at the Class 3A regional tournament in Mitchell on Saturday, Feb. 21, and had two members qualify for the State Tournament this weekend in Rapid City.

Panthers fall short in classic shoot-out with C-EB Braves

Fans attending the Timber Lake vs. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte boys basketball game last Thursday, Feb. 19, were treated to a classic shoot-out as the Panthers and Braves played for bragging rights as the top team in Dewey County.
