Area youth wrestlers qualify for SDWCA State Tournament

Dozens of area youth will march into Sioux Falls on Friday through Sunday, March 20-22, for the South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association (SDWCA) State Tournament.Twelve wrestlers from Timber Lake will take part, including a pair of Region champs in Raelyn Quaschnick and Keaton Jones.

Tiger boys lose bid for state berth on final buzzer-beater

Wirh the game even at 40-40, Sully Buttes’ Wesley Wittler missed a game-winning shot with five seonds on the clock but followed to get his own rebound and sink a put-back just before the final buzzer sounded, giving the Chargeers a 42-40 win over Dupree and State Class B Tournament berth.

Five TL youth wrestlers earn top honors at SDWCA Dist. 3 tourney

Five members of the Timber Lake Youth Wrestling program captured first place finishes in their respective divisions and weight classes at the SDWCA District 3 Tournament held Saturday, March 7, in Miller. More than a dozen other Timber Lake wrestlers placed in the top six of their divisions.

Panther girls fall to top-seeded Harding Co. in SoDak 16 qualifier

Timber Lake’s girls basketball season wrapped up last Thursday, Feb. 26, as the Lady Panthers fell 63-13 to top-seeded Harding County in the Region 8B SoDak 16 qualifier.Harding County led from the opening tip, leading 19-6, 34-9 and 54-13 at the quarter stops.
