No school Friday

Timber Lake School will not be in session this Friday, October 8, a comp day for the staff after two evenings of parent-teacher conferences October 6 and 7.

Timber Lake School will present an anti-bullying program in the school theater on October 7. And on October 14, a Harvest Festival will be held at the Healing Hands school-community garden. See details about both on page 10.

Isabel board exploring options to reduce deer population

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the community of Isabel is officially home to 145 people. That's up from 135 residents in 2010. It's not the small increase in residents that has town officials concerned, but rather, an explosion in the local deer population.

Pursuit of stolen vehicle ends in Trail City

Area residents urged to limit household trash
